Scientists discover tipping point for the spread of ideas
Scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have found that when just 10 percent of the population holds an unshakable belief, their belief will always be adopted by the majority of the society. The scientists, who are members of the Social Cognitive Networks Academic Research Center (SCNARC) at Rensselaer, used computational and analytical methods to discover the tipping point where a minority belief becomes the majority opinion. The finding has implications for the study and influence of societal interactions ranging from the spread of innovations to the movement of political ideals.

The Canadian press in the middle of an electoral campaign has sized the opportunity to introduce the issue into the political landscape since the 3 year old drowned boy shot by a journalist's camera in a beach in Turkey, was striving to reach BC to live with his aunt in Vancouver. His older brother and his mother had also drowned, while the father completely distraught went back to Syria to bury all his family.
News came out they had tried to get a visa to enter Canada legally under the father's sister tutelage with the help of her parliamentarian representative, but the Conservative Party Canadian foreign minister had refused entry to the other aunt's brother, so the boy's father didn't get the opportunity to ask entry for his family.
